Before the ceremony I like to get a photograph with the Bride and her Father arriving, or whoever is giving the Bride away. Then I will nip into the ceremony room to await the Bride's arrival, and take photographs throughout the ceremony from lots of different angles, ensuring I am never in your face.
If you are getting married in a church I will not take photographs during prayers. I will also check with the minister or priest if photographs are allowed during the ceremony itself as some religious establishments do not allow this. Weather permitting I will get a group photograph of all the guests outside immediately after the ceremony.
