MY PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE

I specialise in lifestyle portraiture of families and children. Lifestyle photography means just that... capturing your family just as they are doing what they do using natural light and surroundings. Real moments are my favourite, images that tell a story, where genuine emotions shine through.

These shoots can be done either outdoors or in your own home. If you choose outdoors we will meet at a local beauty spot or park, or even your own garden. If you decide on indoors we will use the rooms in your home with the best light, this is usually the sitting room or the master bedroom, or even your kitchen or child's bedroom. There's always somewhere! And if its dry we can still go outside to your garden for a few too.

I will give you some direction during the session, but I will not sit you all up straight and make you all smile at the camera together. In fact, I don't get too hung up on whether or not everyone is looking and smiling at the same time, I really do prefer creating natural images which capture the connection between your family, but of course I will always include a few traditional portraiture images too.

I make each photoshoot lots of fun for everyone which means I can achieve relaxed and natural images of your family and capture the emotion between you. Every family is different so every shoot will be individually tailored to your family, even to include your pets if that's something you would like to do.

Each and every shoot is important to me and I invest all of my time, skills and experience to ensure that I create the best possible images for you, by using a range of different camera lenses and the best editing software to produce a mixture of colour and black & white images for you to treasure forever.
